Welcome to issue 6 of DATA
With spring now firmly upon us we're starting to see the green shoots of those flowers and plants that have been dormant during a particularly cold winter. I hope that business in the UK will follow nature's lead: that confidence is restored and the economy once again flourishes.
In this issue we’re focusing on projects in Europe following the recent launch of Hackett’s latest European projects in Vienna and Mendrisio. We have also recently created a highly acclaimed concession for Hackett in Harrods.
During 2008 we built on our long-term relationship with Hackett, delivering new stores and concessions, and we are delighted that they continue to entrust us with new stores the UK, Europe and beyond.
We have also now completed the project at the Roman Baths Museum in Bath and I will be reporting on this scheme in the next edition of DATA, together with a number of other high profile projects.
As always, I very much look forward to your feedback on this newsletter and on any aspects of our service.

Hackett’s European Expansion
Datum has recently completed the fit-out of Hackett’s newest concession in Harrods, which follows the recent opening of Vienna and a string of new concessions and stores that have opened across Europe.
Prior to Vienna, Datum successfully delivered stores and concessions in Stockholm, Graz, Paris, Gothenburg, Munich and Dublin, with more stores in the pipeline. |

The process of delivering the new stores and concessions for Hackett involves Datum bespoke manufacturing all the individual elements needed for each site, comprising shelving units, pelmets, display cabinets, cash desks and doors, as well as sourcing all the products needed to build the stores and concessions in situ.
Once all the elements of the concession are built they are shipped out to the various countries to be received by Datum personnel, the only team involved in the entire fit-out process, which ensures that Datum continues to deliver high quality interiors expected by the client.
Commenting on the success of these recent projects Michael Carey, Director of Creative Services and Store Design at Hackett, said: “Not only has Datum continued to deliver our shops and concessions in the UK to our very exacting standards, but they have demonstrated equally high standards across Europe. I would like to thank everyone involved and to say how delighted we are with Datum’s professionalism, dedication and positive approach throughout.”
